Splash Start Orientations are designed to provide a foundation for all active National Board candidates in order to ensure your success through the certification process.  We provide orientation for full active candidates, Take One! candidates, and principal certification candidates.  The orientation includes:

• An Introduction to the National University Professional Teaching Development Center, Network Affiliates, and service options (NUPTDC)
• An Introduction to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and website
  
• Overview of the National Board Certification Process: certificates, instructions, assessments, timelines, tips
  
• Orientation to the NUPTDC Online Support Environment through eCoach.
• Assignments and Tools for Success

The Assignments for Success are required for any candidates who would like to be assigned a Candidate Support Provider through eCoach and to receive available fee support. 

Splash Start Orientations take place this summer and fall, and are available face-to-face or by webinar (Dates and times TBD).  One-to-one appointments may also be available upon request.

Summer 2011 Splash Start Face-to-Face Orientations have been scheduled.  NEXT STOP: Compton and LA region, hosted by Local Network Leaders--Phoebe, Yvonne, Ruby, Joanna, Sheila, Pam, and Rae
