The National University Professional Teaching Development Center wants to set you on the path toward becoming an accomplished teacher by providing you with access to National Board tools and processes, and by connecting you with a National Board Certified Teacher mentor, we can give you an edge when it comes to planning your education and seeking a professional teaching position by:

Single Subject Candidates:  Read the Single Subject Credential Candidate Welcome Letter from PTDC Director Rae Adams.  Follow the steps below to get connected.
To join us and receive your free access to an NBCT Mentor and/or our National Board Distinguished Pathway, please email Joanna Murray.  Write "Pre-Service Teacher" in the subject line and provide the following information in your email:
  • Your Name
  • Credential Area (e.g. Multiple Subject/Education Specialist/Single Subject English)
  • Subject(s)/Grade Level You Hope to Teach
**Please Note: If you are also a National University student participating as a course requirement, please also indicate in your email:
  • National University Course Currently Enrolled In
  • Name of Your NU Professor

After you submit your email request, you will receive a response with the name of your NBCT mentor as well as a link to our NBCTWave membership form where you can access our members-only support area, including our National Board Distinguished Pathway Modules.
