This first in our series of support meetings, both at our La Jolla National University headquarters and also via webinar, will include a brief review of the process of National Board Certification covered during our Splash Orientation and will explore the three types of writing that candidates will engage in: descriptive, analytical, and reflective.  (If you need an in-depth overview of the process, be sure to attend our Splash Orientation).

The Preparing for Assessment Center workshop series will begin with an overview of the process and expectations for this portion of the National Board assessment process. National Board Certified Teachers will share their experiences for this half-day computerized assessment process. The day will continue with collaboration and discussion on strategies and resources candidates can use to prepare for this assessment. The day will culminate with helping individual candidates with gathering resources toward this end and in mapping out a plan for how to proceed. Additional support meetings will allow for candidates to collaborate together, or work individually, on gathering resources and continued study.
